Baler Travel Guide

Baler Aurora is considered as “Birthplace  of surfing in the Philippines”. Baler is 147 miles and approximately 6hrs away from Metro Manila. It is more convenient to travel with car than to commute. It’s better to go to Baler during “ber months” to encounter big waves. KAYA, TARA NA SA BALER!

HOW TO GO TO BALER VIA 

(public transportation)

Genesis bus company, is the only bus that goes directly to Baler. There terminal is at Cubao and the first trip is at 4:30 am, the last trip leaves cubao at 3pm.  The ticket fare costs around 600 (Above).

(private car)

From Manila, enter North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) at Balintawak and exit at SCTEX (entry is at LaPaz, Tarlac toll gate) from here, follow the highway leading to Cabanatuan. Upon reaching Cabanatuan, take the Nueva Ecija- Aurora highway. then you will reach Baler. your travel time will be around 5-6 hours.

PLACES TO VISIT AT BALER

Diguisit Beach

-Kilala to dahil sa Rock formation. Maganda ang view dito kaya ayos magpicture. The entrance is free.

 

Balete Tree

– also called as “Millennuim Tree” and it is 600 years old. Free ang entrance dito, pag pumasok sa loob ng mismong tree ang may bayad pero bibigyan mo lang ng tip yung maggu-guide sa loob and yung photographer.

 

Ermita Hill

-Before, dito yung parang evacuation center ng mga taga-Baler.Makikita sa picture na may pamilyang naghahawak-hawak ng kamay, yung panahon na yan may 8 miyembro sa pamilya na umakyat at namatay. Makikita din dito ang overview ng buong Baler.

Ditumabo Falls

-Bago makarating sa falls kailangan munang magtrek for about 30mins. Mas advisable na pumunta dito tuwing umaga para konti ang tao.  This place is so relaxing and well-maintained.  P30 pesos ang entrance and P200 pesos naman pag gusto nyong kumuha ng travel guide. (photo credits to the owner)

Sabang Beach

-Free beach ito and dito madalas nagpupunta ang mga tao para mag-surfng. P300 pesos per hour ang bayad pag gusto mo magsurf with instructor na iyon. Pero kung marunong ka na, surf board na lang ang irerent mo for only P200.
